Every time I vist 01 Magazine’s blog or website, I leave feeling inspired.

01 Magazineis an online art, fashion, and culture magazine. Their list of contributors includes Redia Soltis (founder/editor in chief), Jennilee Marigomen (photo editor/art director), Laura Vignale (contributing art director), Neil Simonton (contributing editor), among others. They host thoughtful interviews with artists, fashion designers, and photographers a plenty. They feature blogs, projects and book shelves, review music and art, leaving enough room within the articles to experience the work for what it is. The 01 Blog, a thoughtfully curated conglomerate of its magazine counterpart, is a daily stop for me.

I had the chance to visit the 01 Magazine group show at No. 6 Gallery on a recent trip to New York. Some of the artists in the show included Peter Sutherland, Jennilee Marigomen, Sam Falls, Grant Willing, David Horvitz and so many more. I was very impressed by the number and quality of the pieces as well as the presentation of the work. There was so much to see and experience, yet everything fit within the space in just the right ways, allowing for space to pause and digest between projects. The show felt like a conversation with friends, with interesting crossovers and contradictions carrying it through.
